✍️ Workshop Notes
The 3 Levels of YouTube
🏃 Level 1: Get Going
💁♂️ You’re Here If: You’ve made less than 10 videos, you’re overthinking more than taking action, there’s a lot of fear that’s stopping you from starting.
🎯 Action Points: Just make 10 videos regardless of anything. Don’t worry about quality, keep quantity in mind. You need to put in the reps first. Clarity will come with practice. Take the 7 Video Challenge 🙂
💪 Level 2: Get Good
💁♂️ You’re Here If: You’ve made 10-30 videos, you’re looking for clarity on where to take your channel and how to grow it strategically.
🎯 Action Points: Improve each video that you make by at least 1%, make sure your videos are truly valuable to your audience. Work on your writing, structure, editing and production value. Take the PTYA Course 🙂
⚙️ Level 3: Get Smart
💁♂️ You’re Here If: You’ve made 30-50+ videos and are probably monetised, you’re looking for clarity on where to take your channel.
🎯 Action Points: Think of ways to monetise your channel, outsource your editing. Watch the outsource and monetisation modules of the PTYA Course 🙂
The 5Cs Framework
👩🚒 Courage: Starts at Level 1 and stays relevant forever.
The barriers that hold us back from starting are actually 80% emotional and only 20% technical. You need to get over the initial fears and learn how to deal with the emotional rollercoaster of YouTube.
🗓️ Consistency: Starts at Level 1 and stays relevant forever.
No YouTuber has ever gotten successful without posting videos consistently. It could be one per month, one per two weeks – whatever is sustainable. But it’s absolutely paramount to keep uploading if you want to “make it” on YouTube.
🎥 Content: Starts at Level 2 and stays relevant forever.
People value 3 types of content: educational, entertaining, and inspiring. You need to make good videos to succeed on YouTube, and a good video in YouTube terms is just three things. (1) It interests the viewer enough to make them click, then (2) makes them watch all the way through, and (3) makes them happy at the end.
🪟 Clarity: Starts between Levels 2 and 3.
What are the goals for my channel? What’s my business model? Strategy? Niche? Target audience? Value proposition? Competitors? Advantages? These are the questions you need to answer to figure out what direction you want to take your channel in. But, you should only start to think about these if you’ve already made 20-30 videos.
💸 Cash: Starts at Level 3 and beyond.
The money is what makes YouTube sustainable. With no revenue, it’s difficult to keep a channel going indefinitely. With cash, everything becomes easier. You can start outsourcing parts of your process, you can start systemising, you can maybe even quit your day job.
And remember, if you’d like to take things further and get access to 30+ hours of content that dives deeper into the systems that we’ve used to help grow my channel to more than 6 million subscribers and the business to over $5 million in annual revenue, then please check out out the Part-Time YouTuber Academy where you’ll also get access to a special workshop offer 👀
We’ve helped over 6000 creators with their channels over the past 4 years and we’ve had some incredible success stories below 👀
We’ve helped 5,000+ creators to shortcut their YouTube learning curve
Izzy had never made a video before she took our course. She implemented everything she learned, and her channel has grown to 600k+ subscribers since.

“I think the content is super helpful, especially for a beginner to really get an idea of the YouTube landscape and how everything works. Secondly, the amazing community of creators was something I never expected and has actually been the most valuable takeaway for me.”
Izzy Sealey (624,000 Subscribers)
Ankur had been making videos for 3 years, and had 36k subscribers. Take a look at what happened as soon as he took PTYA.

“I would absolutely recommend PTYA to anybody who wishes to start on their YouTube or content creation journey. It’s brilliant to be amongst like-minded people, it’s so awesome to be connected with people across the world […] and to then identify your own path. It’s wonderful that this programme continues to thrive.”
Warikoo (2,880,000 subscribers)
Chris already had a YouTube channel for his podcast, “Modern Wisdom” with 100k subscribers. But after taking PTYA, he decided to rebrand and relaunch his YouTube channel, taking the insights he learned from the course. Since then, his growth has absolutely skyrocketed.

“Part-Time YouTuber Academy really helped to take me from a total noob in regards to how YouTube works to pretty well-informed. It was a one-stop shop for me. It made a massive difference – the content that he and his team created is very useful and still now, 3 years after taking the course I am continuing to rely on some of the resources that I took from it then. I highly recommend it.”
